The Memphis Area Library Council (MALC) is a multi-type library organization formed to promote cooperation in support of the learning community of Memphis and the Mid-South region. The Council seeks to serve as a communication point for its members, with its regularly scheduled board meetings and special called meetings for all libraries’ personnel. The Council also seeks to develop cooperative projects that will be beneficial to all library users in the region, within the parameters of the council’s constitution and by-laws.
Several MALC member libraries have a reciprocal borrowing agreement: Reciprocal Borrowing/Use Program, amended Sept 2015 (PDF)
